{Summer Sweets} Wedding Inspiration Style Session

This wonderful inspiration style session was a dream for me!
Not only did it reflect a style that I personally love, but it also involved some of my most favorite people in the wedding industry!

The location was at the ever so quaint and beautiful Maple Grove Tea Room, in St. Andrews along the Red River. The Tea house itself is a work of art, from the beautiful stone, small paths leading to several gardens, to the charming patio overlooking it all!

The style of this session was to create a romantic table for two, with a vintage shabby chic flair! I think we did that, and then some...

The color scheme was based upon summer fruits, peach corals, lemon yellows, punches of orange and then for some fun we added teal to pull it all together! And I think it worked!

I wanted to inspire upcoming bride-to-Be's, that you don't have to settle for a boring banquet room for your special day. I think more and more people are finding it refreshing to be a guest at a wedding that is so out of the ordinary!
A simple setting, stocked full of charming special touches, can be even more elegant then any ballroom!

The decor and design was a work of myself and Tricia from Best Wedding Decor. As a collector of almost anything vintage, I of course had to incorporate wooden crates, mason jars,  silver tray and vintage lace. Tricia took care of the rest! From her eye catching displays of tall glass vases filled to the rim with water and fresh cut lemons and a  fruit tray centerpiece which was a true delight!  The elegant chairs were crisp and clean, and the aroma of wild daisies and some sparkle touches, from the tall table pillar seemed to finish the look! The bouquet was fresh and pretty with pinks and yellows and little hints of green ,courtesy of Tricia. This look was simple, yet very stunning and could easily be replicated, and would not break the bank!
I feel that "shabby chic" is the way to go for wedding decor. I think slowly we will realize that weddings can get a bit boring if they all look the same, so don't be afraid to add your personal touch to the design scheme for your reception!  After all it is your day!

The cake was a complete work of art, thanks to Pamela Kirkpatrick of Cake-ology! They were given the ideas, and when I first laid eye's on this masterpiece, I was speechless!
Your wedding cake should be amazing!

The gorgeous model (Alyssa) was perfect for this style session, representing today's woman.
All makeup, hair and birdcage veils were courtesy of Makeup Expressions by Rimpal.
I am a fan of Rimpals work, because she has this way of taking a woman's best features and bringing them right out for the world to see! Rimpal makeup application is always perfection at it's best! I do recommend that for all woman when it comes to your wedding day, leave the makeup to a professional! It will show in your photographs! Rimpal is a photographers dream, she is very professional yet has a laid back approach that enables her clients to feel relaxed and enjoy the experience!

The very pretty jewellery was courtesy of (Erin- Independent stylist for Stella & Dot).
Erin coordinated the jewelry beautifully to fit into our style. From the stunning golds and pearls, to the bangles, and the beaded jewelry it was all center of attention. I think today's bride along with her wedding party should go totally stylish for the wedding jewels! I also love the idea of having Erin host a Stella & dot trunk show before the wedding, so that you and your girlfriends can get together and look through everything and even try it on before the big day! A really good excuse to get some extra girl time!

My approach for the entire shoot was to capture the element beauty we all feel when we look at the bride! The extra sparkle in the brides eye that seems to shine brighter!
Anyone can take good wedding pictures, but a photographers job is to capture the big moments, but also the little details of your day! I wanted to bring the photos to life, so they can be glanced upon and take you right back to that moment in time.

I want to give special thanks to everyone involved in this ever so elegant inspiration session!

I am in the process of planning a Fall inspiration session, for all those planning their Fall weddings in 2012.
Happy Planning!
